Placental Donation

Your decision to donate your placenta after a caesarean section could mean healing for many people.

Amniotic tissue facilitates the healing process and may prevent scar tissue formation in a variety of applications, such as:

  • Ocular procedures
  • Spinal surgeries
  • Wound healing
  • Foot & ankle surgeries

Donating your placenta is:

  • Safe
  • Confidential
  • Free
  • Painless

Placental donation will not interfere with cord blood donation or the birth of your child.

The AlloSource Placental Donation Program provides an easy, confidential way to donate your placenta.*

STEP 1

Talk to your healthcare provider about placental donation.

STEP 2

Your doctor and our recovery team will work together on the date of your delivery to ensure a successful donation.

*Note that a C-section is required to donate your placenta.
